Join Bangalore-based artist Archana Hande and Victorian-based artist Michael Bullock in an evening of artist talks, discussion and Q&A.
Archana Hande is an artist-in-residence at spaced, WA, as part of Asialink’s Spaced Reciprocal Residency program. Hande’s practice is based on a process of community engagement and story telling. Through her works she looks to trace contested terrains within communities over issues such as tradition, religion, trade and migration. Hande will discuss her current residency project at spaced.
Michael Bullock, who is part of this residency exchange, will be presenting his proposed project, prior to leaving Melbourne to pursue his residency at 1. Shanthi Rd in India. Working mostly in sculpture and painting, Bullock intends to explore Indian sandalwood industry as creative entry to India.
This Asialink Arts Residency Program is a collaboration between Asialink and spaced, and is generously supported by The Australia-India Council and The Australian Council for The Arts.
