For the final instalment, Asialink Arts, with BUS Projects (Melbourne) and Ruang MES 56 (Indonesia) presents Put Up a Signal, a multifaceted artist exchange featuring Indonesian and Australian screen based art.
With video and sound files regularly being shared across the world free of charge, it is now possible to collaborate with international partners by using only online and digital platforms.
Put Up a Signal uses these digital advancements to break down barriers in cross-cultural collaboration to co-curate a project exclusively through the use of file sharing and online participation.
Put Up a Signal, a single channel video exhibition, will be played on the ‘The Big Screen’ at Federation Square from 8 November – 28 November
The screening will also be accompanied by a public forum on Thursday 7 November at NEW LOW http://asialink.unimelb.edu.au/calendar/events/featured/put_up_a_signal_forum_and_publication_launch
