Ong Keng Sen’s TheatreWorks production explores the enduring memories of the years under Pol Pot’s Khmer Rouge regime, and the resilience of the royal Cambodian court dancers who lived through it. Based on the life of seventy-five year old Em Theay, master classical dancer, the production celebrates the continuity of Cambodian dance and puppetry interwoven with new media. |
