Dr Thomas Weber
In this presentation, Thomas Weber will delve into an intriguing subject - Mahatma Gandhi’s relationships with Western women.

In particular, he will talk about Gandhi’s relationship with his most unlikely western disciple – the bohemian ‘fallen woman’, Nilla Cram Cook.

Thomas Weber is a Reader and Associate Professor in the Politics and International Relations program at La Trobe University.

He teaches Politics and Peace Studies, and has written extensively on Mahatma Gandhi.
His latest books include 'Going Native: Gandhi’s Relationship with Western Women' (in press); 'The Shanti Sena: History, Philosophy and Action'; 'Gandhism and the Gandhians'; and 'Gandhi as Disciple and Mentor'.

The seminar will be followed by dinner at around 7 pm at a nearby restaurant within walking distance of Melbourne University. All are welcome!
