Korean mythology, mischief and magic create a new adventure in Shakespeare. Come and listen to YANG Jung-Ung (South Korea’s Best Young Playwright of the Year), the director of the internationally acclaimed ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ by Yohangza Theatre Company, Kyu Choi, director of AsiaNow, Producer and Dramaturge of Yohangza Theatre Company, and Professor Peta Tait of Latrobe University’s Theatre and Drama Program.
Yohangza’s performance transports the audience into a world of unforgettable fantasy through dance, movement, voice, and percussion. The panel will discuss the particular Korean interpretation - presenting an exciting continuation of the past in the present: a re-infusion of shamanic and folkloric traditions within contemporary elements.
