Please join Asialink for the State of the Nation: Indonesia event in Sydney

The significance of Australia’s relationship with Indonesia cannot be understated. The vast archipelago has a population more than ten times that of Australia, representing tremendous opportunities for two-way trade and necessitating close cooperation in political, security and environmental matters. Indonesia is the world’s third largest democracy, has a robust media and a vibrant civil society.

Looking beyond the recent flashpoints of live cattle export and the ongoing challenges caused by international people smuggling, there are great stories to be told about present-day Australia Indonesia relations.

This State of the Nation forum will provide key insights on building successful engagement with our near northern neighbour - whether in business, trade, research or the arts. The event will offer participants opportunities for questions and close interaction with the Ambassador.
