Investment in power and renewable energy in Asia has continued to grow year-on-year, and now represents more than a third of global investment in the sector. Governments and businesses around the world are looking to capitalise on the immense investment opportunities in these emerging Asian markets, but Australia has been comparatively slow on the uptake.
Please join us for a panel discussion on the investment opportunities for corporate Australia in the power, renewables and broader energy infrastructure sector across Asia – particularly in Southeast Asia. A panel of experts will explain the risks of investing in the power sector, the investment hotspots, and how Australian companies can work with Export Credit Agencies (ECAs) in the region to leverage investment and the export of technologies and services into projects in Asia.
Panellists:
- Chin Chew, Partner, Singapore and Head, Asia-Pacific Energy, Mining and Infrastructure Practice, Baker & McKenzie
- Mark Coughlin, Partner, Australian and Asian Energy and Utilities Leader, PwC
- Justin McNab, Head of Utilities and Infrastructure Asia, ANZ
Facilitator:
- Paul Curnow, Partner, Sydney and Head Asia Pacific Renewable Energy, Baker & McKenzie
